Target Corporation - Sourcing Office

B.R. Fries provided construction management and general contracting services for the first Target Store in Manhattan. The 3-level retail fit out includes loading dock and storage levels, a sales floor and a mezzanine that accommodates Target’s offices and building controls.

The project includes a glass and aluminum curtain-wall entrance, an escalator from street-level to the main entry, and mechanical and electrical systems including a rooftop IPEC – Mammouth generator/boiler and extensive refrigeration systems that serve the large food service areas. Stringent on-site coordination was required to complete work within an occupied complex, as well as shutting-down the FDR highway to allow the rigging of a crane to haul mechanical and refrigeration systems to the roof.

B.R. Fries has also provided general contracting services for the remodel of Target Stores in Bayshore, Babylon and Farmingdale, NJ, Milltown, NJ, and the interior fit-out of Target’s Exhibition and Sourcing Office at 520 7th Avenue in Manhattan.
